Friday, 01 May 2009 00:00

Virtualwind Inc. announces the commercial release of Virtualwind 2.0., which is an advanced 3D wind flow modeling and visualization software solution. It empowers users to quickly predict, understand and convey complex wind flow phenomena in urban, suburban and rural environments. Models can be imported from the GoogleTM 3D Warehouse and edited in Google SketchUpTM, which greatly simplifies the model-building process. Models can be exported from Google SketchUp into Virtualwind, or you can also import STL models directly into Virtualwind without going through SketchUp.

Virtualwind wraps its advanced wind flow technology in user interfaces that are intuitive and natural to the user. Simulation of complex wind and dispersion phenomena is achieved with our easy-to-use 3D visualization tools. Virtualwind is designed for ease-of-use by architects, engineers, climatologists, builders, etc.  The core of the Virtualwind Software is based on the same robust technology that has been used by strategic Virtualwind customers over the past few years on hundreds of models of some of the most advanced structures in the world.
